Relive Sunderland's legacy from a past season with this retro jersey based on the design worn by the team in the 1999-2000 season. Their second time competing in the Premier League saw an early defeat at the hands of Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, a match in which this kit was worn, before the Black Cats redeemed themselves with their own victory over the Blues back in the Stadium of Light later in the season. Every detail of the away jersey from that season is recreated here, including a two-button placket and polo collar, red and white trim and 'Sunderland' wording on the back collar.
